BACKGROUND
The client was a large private equity investor considering entering the health care sector in an emerging market country. The proposed investment relied on extensive government support and regional stability due to the public-private-partnership nature of the project.
SCOPE OF WORK
Our team of subject matter experts, ranging from geopolitics and security, through macro economics and finance, to legal and regulatory issues, conducted a deep-dive research into the region, sector, key stakeholders in each phase of the project, from ideation to execution.
RESULTS
The client was able to foresee any potential stumbling blocks in the project’s plan, and jointly with our team, devise risk mitigation approaches. Moreover, our local team enabled the client’s representatives to engage in conversation with the key relevant stakeholders, and address all of their concerns.
BACKGROUND
A large manufacturing conglomerate was looking to diversity its supplier base for several of its divisions. Cost was the primary driver with ESG issues were also on top of the agenda, as the client wanted to be assured that its suppliers were adhering to their environmental and social governance standards, not just during the onboarding process, but throughout the cooperation.
SCOPE OF WORK
Our researchers, sector and country experts, as well as an external, fully vetted team of sophisticated investigators. This multi-disciplinary team conducted a world-wide search of potential supplier candidates, followed by a multistage screening process. We initially screened the strategic fit and reliability, leading to a shortlist of candidates, which were thoroughly investigated from an ESG compliance perspective.
RESULTS
The client was able to focus on those suppliers that passed through a rigorous filter, thereby saving a lot of time and effort. Moreover, our screening process, was later developed into a continuous risk monitoring system that the client could use to regular check if its suppliers were adhering to the ESG requirements.

A luxury car manufacturer constructing a plant in an emerging market was facing difficulties with the local authorities due to a misunderstanding about the negative effects that the factory might cause to the local tourism market. Such unfounded fears caused negative public sentiment towards the client’s investment.
SCOPE OF WORK
Engaged in a wide-reaching opinion gathering project, with a well-diversified group of stakeholders. Used both traditional methods of opinion collection, as well digital. Assisted the client in better understanding the local culture (e.g. values, lifestyle, mindset, affinities, etc.). Identified adequate channels of communication with the local community and assisted the client in getting the message through to everyone in the region.
RESULTS
Public perception towards the investment changed, prompting not only a positive image of the client, but also facilitated the cooperation with all relevant stakeholders, ranging from suppliers, employees, local and central government officials, etc.
